Answers to Frequently Asked Questions

My degree is from a foreign university so I do not have a GPA on a 4.00 scale. How should I enter my GPA?

If you indicated your school was outside of the US, you do not need to enter a cumulative GPA. Instead, you will provide additional information in the text box provided in this section.

If you are invited to an interview, you will be asked to upload a copy of your transcript. Foreign transcripts must be translated completely into English, and foreign grades must be converted using a 4.00 scale. You'll want to ask if your registrar can recommend a transcript translation and/or conversion company.

Where do I upload my letters of recommendation?

Letters of recommendation are not required to submit an application, though they are required in order to receive an offer to join the corps. Applicants will be able to share contact information as soon as they submit their application. If you are invited to participate in an interview, you will need to share the contact information for two recommenders on the Recommenders Card. Your recommenders will then be sent a link to complete our Online Recommendation Form.

Can I have an extension to consider my offer?

Unfortunately, due to the nature of our placement process, we are generally not able to offer long-term extensions to consider your offer. That said, there are special circumstances where short-term extensions can be granted. If you have a special circumstance and need more time to consider your offer, please discuss this with your regional contact. They will be able to assist you.
