Mikisha Nation

Executive Director

Teach For America Twin Cities

Mikisha Nation is the Executive Director of Teach For America Twin Cities, where she has led efforts since 2017 to address educational inequity and support a diverse network of educators and leaders. With over 20 years of experience across corporate, government, and nonprofit sectors, she previously worked at Target and served as Executive Director of Breakthrough Twin Cities, preparing under-resourced students for college success. A Dartmouth College graduate, Mikisha has been recognized in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” and is a 2023 Bush Fellow. She serves on multiple boards, including Wilderness Inquiry and Solutions Not Suspensions, and has been featured as an industry expert on The Small Business Revolution series. Mikisha lives in Southwest Minneapolis with her husband Desmond and their children.
