Your region is excited to connect with you. A representative from your region will reach out to you shortly after you receive your offer. If for some reason you do not hear from your region within the next few days, contact us.

When selecting your classroom preferences, you must provide a ranking for all subjects and grade-levels. This means that you cannot leave a subject without a ranking. If you are not interested in teaching a specific subject or grade-level, you should rank it as the lowest preferred option available.

If you selected multiple placement communities within a single region, we will consider those selections alongside your eligibility for subjects, coursework and community placement availability. You should be excited about teaching in any of the communities you selected. By ranking each placement community, you are giving the regional team input about where you would like to teach within the region.

If you have a special circumstance to be in a region you should list thie specific placement community on the Special Circumstances section in your applicant portal in section 3, during the interview window. Although you may not be able to select it on your map based on your eligibility, our Assignment Team reviews all details submitted on the Special Circumstance form and will take a closer look at your eligibility for the community you indicate.

Attending all of Pre-Service training is mandatory and you must attend your region's scheduled training. So while you can preference a region where you have a training conflict, by selecting this region you are telling us that you are willing to resolve your conflict in order to be placed there. Corps members are full-time, salaried employees of their school district, charter school, or pre-K center. Their salary and benefits are the same as those of other beginning teachers working for the same employers. These vary by school and placement community, based on cost of living, local education budgets, and many other factors.
