We believe that teaching children in urban and rural schools is a foundational experience for a lifetime of impact in expanding educational equity and excellence. Our alumni are people of diverse backgrounds, perspectives and experiences who made the decision to find solutions to one of the greatest challenges facing our country. Alongside their students, they faced great obstacles but persevered, became intimately aware of the challenges so many students in low-income communities face and know the potential that all students have. They are leading and serving as teachers, school and district leaders, policymakers, advocates, journalists, entrepreneurs, parents and more.
