One of our favorite things about being in the Greater Delta is the sense of community you feel, whether you live in Marianna, Greenville, Yazoo City, or Jackson. Below are some other considerations to help you decide if the the Greater Delta region is a good fit for you.

Eligibility Requirements

Corps members must fulfill the following requirements in order to be eligible to work in the Greater Delta:

  • 2.7 GPA
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Clear background check
  • Select teaching certificates are accepted

LGBTQ Legal Protections

Neither Arkansas nor Mississippi prohibit employment discrimination based on gender identity or sexual orientation; and neither state have laws prohibiting discrimination against students based on gender identity or sexual orientation.

However, there are a host of local resources dedicated to the support of LGBTQ+ Arkansans and Mississippians in our region, including a regionally held PRISM resource group.
