Salaries range from $30,000 to $42,500 for new teachers in South Dakota. Corps members are independently hired by local schools or districts. They are responsible for obtaining certification and employment and are not paid by TFA.

Benefits

As full-time employees of their school districts, corps members will receive a full salary and benefits.  Benefits include health, vision, and dental insurance. Some districts may offer employee assistance plans, life insurance, and retirement benefits.

  • Travel to South Dakota for induction: $500
