Since 2011, Teach For America has worked alongside our partners in South Carolina to create opportunities for kids in our most underserved communities.
Founded in 2011 with a corps of 30, Teach For America South Carolina is fast approaching 10 years of impact in the state.
Today, nearly 100 corps members reach over 32,000 students across the Pee Dee, Lowcountry, and Midlands regions. Joined by a growing force of over 300 alumni, our network includes multiple school, policy, and non-profit leaders affecting change every day.
The scale of our impact is elevated by the prioritization and cultivation of deep partnerships in the communities we serve. Moved by the passion and potential of this place, we are committed to ending educational inequities for all South Carolina students.
