Salaries

Salaries for instructional personnel in Orange County Public Schools vary based on years of experience and additional degrees. The current starting salary for a first-year teacher with a bachelor’s degree is $40,000. View a more detailed breakdown of the salary schedule.

Additionally, Florida offers the Best and Brightest Scholarship Program to attract and retain high academic achievers in the teaching profession. This bonus payment is available to first year and returning teachers.

Moving Costs

Moving costs vary greatly depending on how far away you’re moving from and the size of your current home. Moving a studio apartment from within Florida would likely cost between $500 and $1000. Moving from out of state would likely cost at least $1000.
