Learn more about joining Teach For America's work in the Nashville-Chattanooga region.

Almost one in four students in Metro Nashville are being taught by a Teach For America teacher or attend a school where Teach For America alumni serve in a leadership capacity. In Chattanooga, Teach For America teachers represent 10% of the total teaching body in the Opportunity Zone, 12 of the highest needs schools in the district.  After completing their two-year commitment with Teach For America, our alumni go on to make a broad impact in the cities they serve.

More than 90 percent of Teach For America Nashville-Chattanooga alumni continue to work with low-income communities and over 70 percent continue serving in education—there are almost 300 alumni teaching in classrooms across Nashville and Chattanooga, more than 25 school principals, and over 90 alumni in school leadership positions.
