Originally from Rio Grande Valley, Fernando joined Teach For America in Houston after graduating from Yale University. After his two year commitment, he attended the University of Texas Law School and began practicing law in Dallas and internationally. Today, Fernando serves as a judge on the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas in Brownsville.

Tiffany joined the corps in 2005, inspired by the dedicated teachers she had growing up. Tiffany's teaching experience shaped her leadership journey from the classroom to the private sector after the corps.

Iris Chen began her career as a 4th and 5th-grade teacher at P.S. 307 in Brooklyn, as part of Teach For America's charter corps in 1990. Iris currently leads the startup and growth of Wildflower Schools in New York City.
