Leading with Your Heart

This is easier said than done. This implies letting go of the old to make room for the new. This involves leading with passion, compassion, y corazon. Just moving forward regardless of differences, difficulties and darkness. Let go, lead with your heart, and let your light shine. You might be the only positive in someone’s life, make it count!

Workshop #1: Dr. Barbara Baggerly-Hinojosa

Participants of this training will be given the tools necessary in developing better organization skills that will lead to setting great goals.

Workshop #3: Christina Vasquez

A Holistic Approach to Teaching Starts with Me

Social and emotional learning must now go hand-in-hand with academics. Students of all ages need awareness of their emotions and opportunities to express themselves. We, as educators, need to be part of their "inner" world. It all starts with us being vulnerable and open to digging a bit deeper within ourselves. Come see how you can integrate social and emotional messages within the curriculum already in place.

Workshop #4: Amanda Sasser

Playing with Stress and Burnout: An Expressive Arts Therapy Session for Educators

Stress and burnout can affect any of us and impact those around us. In this expressive arts therapy session, we’ll share our mutual experiences, strategize how to prevent and combat stress and burnout, reconnect to our “why,” and have fun, all while using proven techniques backed by neuroscience. In addition to the experience, you’ll also leave with tips and a game plan of your own.
