Teach For America and Ripple Host Blockchain Bootcamp Series
NEW YORK, February 25, 2026—Teach For America (TFA), one of the nation’s largest education nonprofit and leadership development organizations, and Ripple, the leading provider of digital asset infrastructure for financial institutions, are partnering to provide an event series that explores the technology behind cryptocurrencies, non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and digital assets to high school students in select cities across the country.
“This partnership means more students will have access to learning experiences that are relevant to their futures,” said Aneesh Sohoni, Chief Executive Officer of Teach For America. “When students have the opportunity to engage directly with emerging technologies, they gain not only technical knowledge, but also a sense of possibility—seeing themselves as capable contributors to the solutions of tomorrow.”
The TFA-Ripple Blockchain Bootcamp Series will launch March 3, at Distinctive Schools’ CICS Longwood High School in Chicago with 100 high school participants who will gain future-ready learning experiences, expanding non-traditional career and technical education pathways with access to real-world financial and tech literacy. The series will continue across multiple locations at TFA partner school sites in Boston, Houston, New York City, and the San Francisco Bay Area.
This collaboration builds on Ripple’s $25 million pledge to support classrooms and teachers, including a $10 million gift to Teach For America that helps strengthen financial and professional support for educators nationwide. Together, Teach For America and Ripple are expanding access to future‑ready learning opportunities while equipping students and teachers with the tools to thrive in a rapidly evolving digital economy.
“Blockchain technology is becoming foundational to modern financial infrastructure, and students deserve the opportunity to understand it firsthand,” said Eric van Miltenburg, Senior Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at Ripple. “Our partnership with Teach For America reflects Ripple’s long-term commitment to expanding access to emerging technologies, and equipping the next generation with the skills to build real-world solutions. By bringing hands-on blockchain education directly into classrooms, we’re helping ensure innovation is accessible to all from the start.”
Throughout the bootcamp, students will move beyond theory to actively explore how blockchain technology can be applied to real‑world challenges. Working in teams, participants will learn core blockchain fundamentals and examine practical use cases across areas such as finance, supply chain management and social impact, building a foundational understanding of how emerging technologies intersect with everyday systems and communities.
"This partnership gives our students relevant learning experiences that reflect where our economy is headed,” said Sunanna Chand, Executive Director of the Reinvention Lab at Teach For America. “We want to apply technology in a way that helps us reimagine how learning works, thinking about what’s next and how we’ll solve the problems we’ve yet to face,” said Chand.
During each three-hour session, students will use no-code and low-code platforms such as Tatum, Thirdweb, or Questbook to design and prototype a simple digital asset, smart contract, or solution of their own. The bootcamp will culminate in an entrepreneurial pitch showcase, where students will present their ideas and demonstrate how their designs present solutions to real-world problems and strengthen technical literacy with collaboration and critical thinking skills.
