Alvin Abraham is the Executive Director of the education nonprofit KIPP Minnesota. He has worked with KIPP since 2012, leading the organization through extensive growth and is currently working on expansion.
Prior to moving to Minnesota, Alvin worked tirelessly to improve Houston schools. He recently led one of the schools in the Apollo 20 program—a bold initiative to transform public education in Houston in partnership with Harvard University’s Education Innovation Laboratory.
A veteran school leader, Alvin began his career in education as a 2002 corps member. He earned his B.A. from Texas A&M University and his M.A. from the University of Houston.
