Our Program is Tailored to Your Goals
Setting us apart other tutoring programs, we customize your Ignite program to focus on what matters most to your school.
Based on your goals for students, you choose a grade level and focus area for Ignite: elementary reading, middle school math, or post-secondary access.
We utilize your school’s curriculum and assessments for instruction, extending what you‘re already working on with students.
We partner directly with a veteran educator at your school to lead Ignite so that student groupings, learning objectives and pacing are customized to meet unique student needs.
Ignite is designed to be responsive to school schedules. Our program session times range from 30-65 minutes, from three to five days per week. Set the schedule that most meets your school‘s needs.
Choose the model that works for your goals. Students can either participate in Ignite in their classrooms. Typically, during the small group learning block, or students from different classrooms can participate in a designated location (such as the multipurpose room) during your school intervention time.

- Customized vision for impact: You choose your school’s strategic focus area (reading, math, or post-secondary access)
- Learning coherence: School-based curriculum and assessments
- School-based: A veteran educator at the school serves as the Ignite site leader, onboarding ~12 fellows to school culture and curriculum
- Integrated into your schedule: During school hours
- Meaningful dosage: At least three times per week, for at least two hours per week
- Consistent relationships each semester: 1 virtual fellow + 2-3 students in person
- Near peers: Fellows are exceptional and equity minded college students
Robust Support
We Recruit, Select, and Train Near-Peer Fellows
We Recruit, Select, and Train Near-Peer Fellows
who build authentic and trusting relationships with students and create a culture of positivity as the foundation for learning. Fellows engage in a two-week, ten-hour onboarding period before meeting with their students each semester. Fellows receive a financial award for each semester of service.
We Train and Support School-Based Veteran Educators
We Train and Support School-Based Veteran Educators
to lead thriving Ignite programs in their schools (Ignite site leaders). Each Ignite site leaders supports ~12 fellows to customize learning with students. Ignite site leaders receive a financial award for their leadership.
