Michael Kress is the VP and Editorial Director of TFA's One Day Studio. He previously led the launch of One Day Studio as editor-in-chief. He also oversaw the Changing Course podcast, live storytelling events, and other projects. Before that, he was editor-in-chief of One Day. Michael joined Teach For America's staff in 2017 after a 20-year career in media and publishing, including roles as the executive editor for digital at Parents magazine, the VP of editorial at the wellness and spirituality website Beliefnet, and the founding editor-in-chief of MyJewishLearning, one of the oldest and largest websites for Jewish information and exploration. His freelance work has appeared in The Boston Globe, Slate, Salon, The Dallas Morning News, The Forward, and many other publications. He lives in New York City with his wife and three daughters.
