Genesis Bellot

Genesis graduated from NYU in 2018 with a B.A. in Public Policy. She joined Teach for America after graduation and taught middle school English and kindergarten in Jacksonville, FL. After teaching, she came back home to NYC and joined Saga Education as a site director where she led a devoted team to serve high school students in Queens, NY, where she grew up. She returned to TFA as a recruitment manager to support professionals who are looking into beginning their careers in education as full-time teachers. Now, as Director of Early Engagement in the NY, NJ, PA, and DE areas, she gets the opportunity to connect underclassmxn students to opportunities to make an immediate impact in education and develop their leadership skills as they begin navigating future career options. She graduated from NYU in 2021 with a Master’s in Public Administration and Nonprofit Management and hopes to continue working in education in order to create opportunities for students of color to access a more equitable education. She is passionate about connecting with students and providing opportunities to develop their skillset and interests.
