Teach For America Memphis partners with schools across Shelby County.

Our largest placement parter, Shelby County Schools, is the traditional public district in Memphis, and our teachers work in both traditional publics schools and in their iZone schools, which receive additional resources from the district with the aim of moving schools with low academic performance from the bottom 5 percent to the top 25 percent in the state. We also place in the Achievement School District, which is a state-run public school district, and in a variety of public charter schools across the city.

All of our placement schools are within about a 20-minute drive of the Teach For America office in midtown Memphis.
