Teach for america greater cleveland

Join a community of collective, creative, and courageous leaders who are accelerating the pace of change for kids in Greater Cleveland.

Located at the heart of our state, the Greater Cleveland area is surrounded by scenic parks and situated just a few miles from beautiful Lake Erie. The region is home to several professional sports teams and prominent cultural institutions, including the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland, and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. For nature fans and outdoor enthusiasts, the area offers the renowned Cleveland Botanical Garden and numerous state parks, beaches, and marinas along the lakeshore.

Although Cleveland is receiving national attention as a city on the rise, opportunity is not available to all of our residents yet.

Since passing The Cleveland Plan in 2012, the movement towards educational equity in Cleveland has shown glimmers of progress. The graduation rate has increased by 20 percent and pre-K enrollment has increased by 400 percent, with 1,450 more students enrolled in high-quality preschools.

There is still much to do to deliver on the promises made in the Cleveland Plan and an equitable education for all. In partnership with the Greater Cleveland community, including our alumni base of over 300, you have the opportunity to accelerate the pace of change for students as a bold leader in our network.
