Teaching in a rural region like Eastern North Carolina gives corps members the opportunity to live in the same communities as their students and regularly interact with those students and their families. Corps members fall in love with the region's small towns, which offer great food, outdoor space, and community events. And whenever you want a weekend trip, the mountains and the beach are both just a few hours away!

Eligibility Requirements

All corps members in North Carolina must have a bachelor's degree with a GPA of 2.7 or higher, and be a citizen of the United States of America. North Carolina accepts some prior teaching certificates, but not all. Please reach out to the region if you have a question about yours.

DACA

According to state law, we are not able to place corps members with DACA status in Eastern North Carolina.
