Small-Group Learning Cohorts Small-Group Learning Cohorts

TFA alum in the classroom.

Eager to build community with a small group of your fellow early admitted corps members? Want to engage in conversations around topics and issues that matter to you? We offer a variety of skill-based and interest-based cohorts that will gather several times over the course of the summer.

About

Gather in small-group cohorts around key topics in education.

Beginning in July, we’ll launch a number of small-group learning cohorts that you can opt into. These small groups will convene around a specific education topic of interest and will meet virtually several times throughout the summer. Each small-group learning cohort will be capped at 15 participants, plus a facilitator, to allow for stronger dialogue and connections. Think of these cohorts as a virtual book club that will engage in ongoing learning and conversation together.

You can check out the small-group learning cohorts that will be offered in July and August, and sign-up for the cohort you’re most interested in joining HERE. Note, we’ll continue to add offerings to this list.

These small-group learning cohorts will allow you to:

  • Network and build your early admitted corps member community
  • Build your orientation to the issue of educational inequity
  • Engage in conversations around the national education landscape and feel part of a larger national movement

Who Can Participate

All 2021 early admitted corps members are invited to opt-in. Each cohort will be capped at 15 participants and are first-come, first-serve.

Small-group learning cohorts will launch in July. You will have the opportunity to learn more about each small group, as well as the schedule of virtual meetings, in our July e-mail, and in the 2021 Early Admitted Corps Member Facebook Group

If you have further questions or an idea for a small-group topic, please contact us at precorps@teachforamerica.org.
