Phoenix, Arizona, August 6, 2026—Teach For America Phoenix proudly welcomes its newest board member, Erik Moses, Executive Director & CEO of Fiesta Sports Foundation.

Teach For America (TFA) bolsters the recruitment, development, and retention of educators and leaders serving students across the region. At the frontlines of strengthening an educator workforce, Moses joins a group of community leaders, philanthropists, and corporate professionals dedicated to supporting a pipeline of educators entering classrooms and enhancing student learning.

Moses joined Fiesta Sports Foundation, whose charitable pillars are youth, sports, and education. The Foundation’s Wishes for Teachers initiative delivers the most robust direct teacher support program in the State of Arizona. Over the 10 years of Wishes for Teachers, the Foundation has granted $9.7 million to more than 3,100 Arizona teachers, impacting more than one million students across the state. Moses also guided the organization through a brand evolution to Fiesta Sports Foundation, cemented its place within the expanded College Football Playoff, and created a new football engagement department that has integrated the organization into youth and scholastic tackle and flag football across Arizona.

Throughout his career, he has been called upon to be a change agent for organizations ranging from startups to legacy businesses seeking a new strategic direction, including as President and General Manager of Nashville Superspeedway, President of the DC Defenders of the XFL, CEO of the DC Sports and Entertainment Commission, and Senior Vice President for Events DC.

Moses was recently appointed to the USA Fencing Board of Directors. He currently serves as a National Trustee for Boys & Girls Clubs of America-Pacific Region and is a board member for the following institutions: McLendon Foundation, Coca-Cola Bowl Season, Experience Scottsdale, Cumberland University, and the DC Jazz Festival. He is a frequent guest speaker for public and private companies, civic organizations, nonprofits, and sports organizations, including The Hershey Company, Dow, Graphic Packaging International, BIC, Match Group, Nestle, Kindred Hospitals, Yaamava’ Resort & Casino, Belmont University, and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., among others. 

A seasoned business leader who drives impactful connections, resourceful ventures, and innovative change in communities, Moses is excited to begin his tenure, collaboratively working with the talented TFA Phoenix Board of Directors and Executive Director in support of the organization’s critical work in Arizona.
