Jamey Delaplane is a principal and head of securities and ERISA regulation at Vanguard. He leads the regulatory practices within Vanguard's Legal Department for investment management, brokerage and advice, ERISA and fiduciary services, and derivatives.

Jamey also serves as the officer co-lead for Vanguard's LGBT employee resource group, the Out Professional Engagement Network (OPEN). In prior roles at Vanguard, Jamey led the ERISA and fiduciary services legal practice area and the government affairs office in Washington, D.C.

Earlier in his career, Jamey was a partner with Davis & Harman LLP, where he focused on employee benefits and tax matters. He also served as vice president of retirement policy at the American Benefits Council and as legislative counsel to a member of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Jamey earned an A.B.and J.D. from Harvard, where he was an editor of the Journal on Legislation. He currently serves on the board of Teach For America Greater Philadelphia.
