PHOENIX, Sept. 16, 2026—Teach For America (TFA) Phoenix, an educational leadership development nonprofit that cultivates and supports a network of educators and leaders who serve students and schools throughout the region, welcomes Laurence "Larry" Hirsch to its regional board of directors. Hirsch brings more than 25 years of legal experience and a longstanding commitment to community service throughout Arizona.

In his capacity as a board member, Hirsch will collaborate with civic, philanthropic, and corporate leaders to strengthen pathways into the teaching profession and promote student achievement.

He began his career in complex commercial litigation before limiting his practice to family law and domestic relations. Before becoming a shareholder at Jaburg Wilk, he practiced in Chicago with one of the nation’s largest family law firms. Over the past 25 years, he has represented high-profile clients in contentious dissolution matters involving substantial assets and significant financial issues. His experience includes marital agreements, spousal maintenance, child custody and visitation, tax matters, asset division, child support modifications, paternity matters, negotiation, and mediation.

Hirsch is a member of the Arizona State Bar’s Family Law Section, formerly served as vice president of the Maricopa County Bar Association’s Family Law Section, and serves as a Judge Pro Tempore in Maricopa County. His community service includes leadership roles with Young Jewish Phoenix, the Phoenix Human Rights Campaign, Executive Council 70, PCH50 for Phoenix Children’s Hospital, the Jaburg & Wilk Foundation, and the Teach For America Board of Directors.
