NYU Wagner offers an interdisciplinary, practice-grounded education to prepare students for leadership careers in public, nonprofit, and health institutions as well as private organizations serving the public good. Wagner offers a particularly strong preparation for those interested in working in education policy or the management of education nonprofits. Each year, NYU Wagner may award one TFA alumni (with at least two years of service) a scholarship covering at least 50% of tuition for the duration of their graduate program for Master of Public Administration or Master of Urban Planning at NYU Wagner. The Robert F. Program provides graduates with the tools to impact education on a larger level, be it education policy, education management, or the application of technology in education. Students earn both degrees in two years as well as initial administrative certifications in Missouri and Illinois. In the first year of the program, students are able to work full-time and attend classes in the School of Education and Public Service. In the second year, students are fully immersed in business curriculum, participate in education and public service internships, and study abroad (cost included in the program). Additionally, graduate assistantships and substantial scholarships are available for Teach For America alumni–many pay as little as $25,000 for the entire program.

TFA Tulsa corps members will have the opportunity to earn up to six credit hours of graduate transfer credit for the competencies they acquire at the TFA Summer Training Institute for the following programs: Master of Education or Master of Teaching Arts degree programs through the TU School of Urban Education and Master of Arts degree program through the Department of Educational Studies. These Summer Training Institute transfer hours are only available after students have earned at least the same number of graduate credit hours while enrolled at TU. Graduate Liberal Studies at Wesleyan is a liberal arts graduate program designed for working adults. Classes meet in evenings, on weekends, and over the summer. Through GLS, Wesleyan awards the Master of Arts in Liberal Studies (MALS) degree and the Master of Philosophy in Liberal Arts (MPhil). Waives application fee for exiting corps members who apply during their two-year commitment. TFA corps members, alumni, and staff can apply for the Social Enterprise Fellows program (which awards partial to full tuition waiver fellowships; full-time MBA students only) and the Social Service or Entrepreneurship Fellowships (award tuition waiver plus assistantship with the Levy-Rosenblum Institute; full-time MBA students only). TFA corps members, alumni, and staff receive a 25% tuition reduction to the evening (PMBA) program. Applicants must apply while working with TFA and intend to study while actively working within schools, education, or the nonprofit sector. (Final approval of the tuition reduction will be determined by the A.B. Freeman School).

Multiple awards are available each year. Eligibility: Successful completion of a term of service in accordance with your AmeriCorps member contract with Teach for America. These awards are allocated to admitted candidates based on the same criteria used for admission: professional achievement, standardized test scores, undergraduate academics, and results from the admissions interview.

The University of Rochester Simon Graduate School of Business provides five scholarships of at least $20,000/year with an option to be considered for additional funding on a merit-basis.

University of St. Thomas MBA Program, Minnesota

Waives application fee for corps members and alumni. Any admitted applicant to the full-time UST MBA who has completed or is scheduled to complete a service commitment (a term of one year or more) with Teach For America is guaranteed an $8,000 per year renewable two-year scholarship ($16,000 over two years). Service Scholars are also eligible for additional Dean's scholarship awards. No additional scholarship application is required for the Dean’s Service Scholarship, but an applicant must include a statement of service indicating their service period with their application.
