Corps Members Receive a Full Salary and Comprehensive Benefits
As a corps member, you will be a full-time, salaried employee of your school district. Your salary and benefits will be the same as other beginning teachers in that district.
Salaries range from $24,000 to $51,000, depending on where our corps members teach across the country. Urban regions tend to offer higher salaries because of higher cost-of-living. Rural regions offer lower salaries but corps members enjoy the benefits of lower cost-of-living which helps them save money on rent, groceries, utilities and other living expenses. Health benefits are provided through your school district and vary depending where you teach. Your health benefits may include, but are not limited to:
- Medical, dental, and vision care
- Referral-free access to doctors
- Routine preventative care
- Flexible spending accounts
- Employee assistance and wellness programs
- Family planning services
- Vaccinations (i.e. flu shots)
- Life insurance
Your school district will also provide you with retirement benefits. These benefits usually include employer-supported pension plans and 403(b) investment accounts.
