Support West families during COVID-19 closure

As a Title 1 School, the majority of our scholars receive breakfast, lunch, and some even dinner at school. The District will be providing meals at multiple locations throughout the city from 10am-2pm every weekday but we know this is not convenient for many working parents and as a community we want to support each other through this unprecedented time. The West Parent, Staff, Community Organization (PSCO) is raising funds to support the purchase of grocery store gift cards to be distributed by the school administration to those families in need, which we expect to exceed 50 families.

Hi! I am a Special Education teacher in Washington, DC. My scholars are very excited and eager to learn. I would like to create and foster an environment that encourages children to be curious about the world around them. My goal with the project "Learning Remotely" is to provide students with resources that will support their basic skills. The vision I have is to create "education care packages" in which they receive all of the materials in this project and I will also provide instructions to families on how they should be using and how often they should be using materials. The great thing about the tools in this project is that they will last a very long and do not have to be replaced. From my experience in using all of the items on the list, they are very academic supportive and child friendly to use.

Help me give my students tablets that can be used to support distance-based learning instruction during the COVID-19 pandemic. These base-model tablets will allow students to access their learning portals where cloud-based instruction occurs daily!
