Creative Activities for Celebrating the 100th Day of School

The 100th day of the school year is a great milestone for students to celebrate and an opportunity to have tons of fun with the number 100.

The 100th day of the school year is a great marker for students and teachers alike (it generally falls in late-January to mid-February, depending on your school’s calendar), and gives young kids the opportunity to have tons of fun with the number 100. Ideas for classroom activities abound online, but here are a few of our favorite resources:

  • What will your first graders look like when they’re 100? Ask them to create self-portraits with cotton balls and construction paper. Check out this adorable inspiration from teacher-blogger Finally in First.

  • Check out this 100th day fashion show, with original t-shirts, courtesy of the brilliant folks at Kindercraze. If funds and time don’t allow for creating new t-shirts, you can adapt this idea by bringing in recycled clothes, shoes, and hats for students to dress up.

Have a happy 100th Day!
