Tim Daly helped found EdNavigator in 2015. EdNavigator helps parents find a path to educational success for their children by connecting them with high touch, personalized, long-term support, from pre-K to college. It focuses particularly on partnerships with employers of lower wage workers who sponsor navigational assistance as a benefit for employees with children.
Prior to EdNavigator, Tim spent fourteen years at TNTP, including the eight years as president. During Tim's tenure, TNTP became a leading source of innovative research and a respected independent voice on teacher quality issues, publishing studies such as The Widget Effect, The Irreplaceables, and The Mirage. Tim won the 2010 Peter Jennings Award for his work at the organization. Since receiving the award, Daly oversaw the publication of the widely read analysis, Teacher Evaluation 2.0.
Before joining TNTP in 2001, Tim taught social studies at Northeast Middle School in Baltimore. Tim holds an M.A. in Teaching from Johns Hopkins University and a B.A. in American Studies from Northwestern University. He lives in Chicago with his wife and two children.
