Robin, a proud and dedicated eastern Kentucky community advocate with over 25 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, believes a successful Appalachian transition anchors on an educational system that nurtures young people to believe in themselves, and motivates and inspires them to acquire the knowledge and resources necessary to grow the economy of their communities and our region.
Most recently, Robin was the Chief Operating Officer of LKLP Community Action Council, overseeing strategic development of programs and personnel, and assisting the executive director with the overall management of the organization. Prior to that, Robin was Associate Executive Director of the Foundation for Appalachian Kentucky.
As an advocate for educational equity, Robin served as an elected school board member for Perry County School District, as a member of the Prichard Committee for Academic Excellence, and as a Governor’s Commonwealth Institute for Parent Leadership Fellow. She is an active community member serving on the Board of Directors of Buckhorn Children & Family Services and MACED (Mountain Association for Community Economic Development). As a member of the philanthropic community, Robin was an inaugural Fellow of the Advanced Leadership Institute, Southeast Council of Foundations.
Robin graduated from Lees College and Morehead State University. She is excited to continue her service to the Appalachian region by developing leaders through teaching and by fueling enduring change within our communities.
