Mrs. Sablosky chairs the Teach For America Indianapolis board. She is a former elementary school teacher who taught special education in Indianapolis Public Schools and Lawrence Township Schools. She later established and operated the College and Career Resource Center at Carmel High School. Mrs. Sablosky earned an M.S. in special education and a B.S. in education from Indiana University.
Her husband, Larry, is one of the original four founders of the Finish Line Corporation in 1981 (along with David Klapper, Al Cohen, and David Fagin); they sold their business around 2008. Retired, Mr. Sablosky invests in start-ups and venture funds and mostly sits on boards (including Big Brothers Big Sisters and KIPP-Indy), plays golf, and visits grandkids with Mrs. Sablosky in DC and Chicago.
Together, the Sabloskys avidly contributes time, leadership, and financial support to empower women, care for youth and their families, and improve the future of Indianapolis. They received the 2015 Outstanding Philanthropists Award (nominated by Eskenazi Health Foundation) by the Association of Fundraising Professionals-Indiana for their work. An additional community contribution includes involvement in the Women’s Fund of Central Indiana and Dress for Success, where she serves on the board and was one of the founders. Mrs. Sablosky is also a member of Impact 100.
