Katharine Parham hails from Columbia, SC and she earned her B.A. in Political Science and French from the University of South Carolina Honors College. She joined the Teach For America corps in New Orleans in 2011, where she taught special education for students in grades K-5. After completing the corps, she transitioned to teaching in a second grade inclusion classroom, and most recently served as an Assistant Principal in a turnaround charter school in New Orleans East. She left New Orleans in 2015 to return to school herself, and earned a Master’s in Public Policy from Georgetown University in 2017.
