Josh leads the teams responsible for all the critical functions that comprise TFA’s infrastructure, including finance, administration, technology, and legal affairs. The breadth of Josh’s experience producing results across a variety of functions at TFA positioned him well for this leadership role. In 2008, Josh became the vice president of our admissions team and managed the effort to review more than 40,000 applications to the corps each year. During his tenure on the admissions team, he also oversaw two major changes to the admissions process—the move from two to four deadlines and the addition of an applicant phone interview.

Josh joined our staff in 2005 as a recruitment director and corps member adviser at the Philadelphia institute, where he helped train incoming corps members. He started his career teaching fourth grade as a 2003 corps member. Josh earned a B.A. from Yale University and an M.A. in teaching from Fordham University.
