Jim Sigman is a managing director and head of the Global Institutional Capital Group. He is a member of the Wells Fargo Securities Investment Banking and Capital Markets Operating Committee. Jim joined a predecessor of Wells Fargo to focus on developing structured finance alternatives for commercial and small business loan products. Jim became head of Structured Products Syndicate and Structured Products Debt Capital Markets ,with responsibility for originating structured transactions with financial institutions.
Prior to Wells Fargo, Jim spent ten years at Bank of America Securities and its predecessors in corporate finance positions, and three years at Capital USA, LLC, a commercial paper fund focused on securitizing trade receivables.
Jim earned a B.S. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and currently serves on its board of athletic advisors. He is a past member of its board of visitors. Jim serves as co-chair for the Teach for America Charlotte board.
