Director of the Harold K.L. Castle Foundation since 1994, Mitch was elected President and CEO of the Foundation and Kaneohe Ranch Company in 2002. He became Chair of the Foundation and Ranch in 2014. Mitch is a founding and executive committee member of Mālama Maunalua.
He served as President and CEO of Victoria Ward, President and COO of Hawaiian Airlines and as a partner in the law firm of Goodsill Anderson Quinn & Stifel. Mitch was a member and Chair of the Hawai‘i Business Roundtable and Co-Chair of the Education Task Force.
Mitch is a board member of the State of Hawai‘i Public Charter School Commission, member and past president of the Rotary Club of Honolulu, member of the Board of Advisors, past president of the Boys & Girls Club of Hawai‘i and a member of the advisory board of Sea Grant College at UH Mānoa.
He also currently serves on the board of Teach For America Hawai‘i.
Mitch and his wife, Bambi, moved to Hawai‘i from Iowa in 1972. They have three sons.
