The Alumni Innovation Challenge is an opportunity for Metro Atlanta alumni to showcase and fundraise for their respective community organizations and school-based initiatives. The campaign opened to all Teach For America alumni living and working in Georgia, and will run from April 17-27, 2017.

The online effort allows the aforementioned alumni-led organizations to fundraise through an online platform, but here is the key: all donations must come from other Metro Atlanta alumni. Essentially, this project is about alumni supporting alumni towards reaching One Day, when all children will have the opportunity to attain an excellent education. TFA alumni work diligently to advance educational equity and this challenge supports their respective projects.

All funds raised will go directly to the individual projects. The alum who gets the most fellow alumni to donate will win an additional $1,000 grant for their initiative or organization. This effort also supports TFA's broader Alumni Challenge campaign. If a total of 125 alumni donate to this campaign, TFA Metro Atlanta will also win an additional $100,000 to further support our alumni programming. Any dollar amount counts towards this initiative, so please donate at your comfort level.

Let's be clear: We know our alumni are doing excellent work in our schools and neighborhoods, and we want to support and raise the visibility of their efforts. Our fast-paced, digital environment presents a unique opportunity to highlight TFA-Metro Atlanta alums, through an engaging online challenge experience. Likewise, this effort allows alumni to fundraise on behalf of their organizations and initiatives, with the potential to win the challenge and be awarded an additional $1,000 grant while simultaneously supporting TFA - Metro Atlanta.
