Mia Meadows is a native of St. Louis, MO and has led efforts towards educational equity for over 12 years. As a first-generation college graduate, Mia knows first-hand many of the hardships students face. She is committed to seeing all students attain an excellent education.
She began her career as a teacher at Sharpstown High School in Houston, TX. After receiving her graduate degree, Mia took on school leadership roles across Illinois, Minnesota, and Arkansas, including principal and district-level administration roles.
Mia joined Teach For America’s Delta team in 2013. She has been actively engaged in both the Mississippi Delta and Arkansas regions, where she’s led teams as the Managing Director of Teacher Leadership Development, Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), and the Managing Director of DEI-Continuum Integration. Most recently, she spearheaded operations work as the Managing Director of Continuum and Operations for the Arkansas region.
