These schools are in addition to the partnerships that many TFA regions hold with local graduate schools that provide training and courses to current corps members.

  • One-year MPA offers a unique blend of rigorous coursework, professional development and international study, all delivered in a June-May schedule.
  • A three-month consultancy where students can, for example, work for the Department of Education at Washington, D.C.

The program integrates research, theory and practice to provide students with foundational concepts and core skills in such areas as data analysis and data-based decision making, economic theory and its application in the realm of urban education policy analysis, urban politics and education, human development in an urban education context, and urban demographics.

  • Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy awards alumni of Teach for America who enroll in any of the master’s programs at Heinz College a minimum scholarship of 50% of tuition per semester.

  • Up to four $5,000 annual scholarships to TFA alumni

  • 6 credit-hour reduction award valued at over $6,300

  • Priority consideration for admissions and additional merit and need-based aid
