In partnership with regional and national partner organizations, Brave Education Summits engage future educators, corps members, and alumni on learning and development, as well as resources that support LGBTQ+ students and educators. Members of the summit share recommendations and best and promising practices that support teacher preparation, student support, school culture, policy, and more.

The summit, which is held during LGBT History Month and which launches on the eve of National Coming Out Day and Indigenous People’s Day, will have themes for each day of programming:

Weekend 1 - October 9th & 10th

• October 9th: Identity and Intersectionality
• October 10th: Supporting LGBTQIA2s+ students

Weekend 2 - October 23rd & 24th

• October 23rd: Policy and Advocacy
• October 24th: Regional Prism Coalitions and the Path Forward
