Virginia Boyce (San Antonio ‘10) saw that many of her students’ parents supported their dreams but didn’t know how to make college a reality for them. To help these parents, Ms. Boyce applied to the Team Up Challenge for a seed grant to develop a family-friendly College Night Curriculum. Successfully enlisting the help of her colleagues, she was able to implement this curriculum in many of the schools where San Antonio corps members teach. Virginia also won $20,000 to expand the project’s impact to include more of the community next year.
