Living Here
Across the Valley of the Sun, more than 300 corps members are teaching in 13 districts and over 20 charter schools. Phoenix is a diverse, vibrant city made up of numerous interesting neighborhoods in which to live. Housing is very reasonably priced and many choices are available, from apartment complexes with a variety of amenities to homes in the city's historic neighborhoods, to brand new, spacious houses in large developments.
Most corps members choose to live together in apartment complexes where other corps members and alumni live. Affordable apartment complexes are located throughout Central Phoenix as well as in the growing East and West Valley communities. Some complexes are situated within commercial districts while others are near local schools and parks.
Phoenix's neighborhoods are welcoming and offer many opportunities for involvement. Corps members who elect to live in the communities where their schools are located find this not just convenient, but also rewarding because of the strong connections they develop with the families they serve.
