Ohio City is a great neighborhood for corps members and other young professionals to call home in Cleveland. This historic area has been revitalized by a group of artisan entrepreneurs and is home to over 90 non-profit organizations. Residents enjoy walking along the tree-lined streets crowded with unique shops and businesses. Anchored by the West Side Market and filled with nationally acclaimed bars and restaurants, there is always plenty to do (and eat) in Ohio City.

Located at the heart of our state, Northeast Ohio - Cleveland is surrounded by scenic parks and situated just a few miles from beautiful Lake Erie. The region is home to several professional sports teams and prominent cultural institutions, including the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art - Cleveland, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. For nature fans and outdoor enthusiasts, the area offers the renowned Cleveland Botanical Garden and numerous state parks, beaches, and marinas along the lakeshore.

Corps members easily find affordable housing in neighborhoods that offer a variety of accommodations and a great quality of life. Many corps members choose to live in close proximity to the schools in which they teach, which allows them to become involved in the daily life of their communities and to interact with their students' families in a variety of meaningful ways. Often corps members share houses or apartments with fellow teachers, ensuring a built-in network of support and friendship.
