Partner Spotlight

The Cox Pre-K Program

Last fall, Teach for America - Metro Atlanta expanded to address the critical needs of children under the age of five, and The James M. Cox Foundation invested more than $2 million to help. So far, The Cox Pre-K Program has supported 20 pre-K teachers in Clayton, DeKalb, and Fulton County schools. Known as Cox Fellows, these corps members work hard to educate and inspire our youngest students.

Event Spotlight

A Night of Promise

On March 29, 2012 Teach For America - Metro Atlanta hosted our "A Night of Promise" capstone event. The 1,800 guests heard speeches from community members and performances by the Spelman College Glee Club and Teach For America national board member and Grammy-winning artist, John Legend. The evening centered around the incredible promise of our students and the promise that we, as a community, must make to ensure they can attain an excellent education.
