Neighborhood Highlight

Our corps members have the unique opportunity to live in the heart of Downtown Las Vegas. In particular, the Towne or Downtown Terrace apartments are located within walking distance of the new Teach For America office and steps away from the vibrant downtown scene where culture and community intersect. Monthly events in the downtown area bring an eclectic mix of art, food, music, and technology lovers together to mingle and exchange ideas. The Towne and Downtown Terrace apartments are the ideal location because they allow our corps members to live and mingle among other passionate mission driven Las Vegans.
Living Here
What we think of as Las Vegas was originally developed by visionaries with an innovative entrepreneurial spirit. But there's far more to the city than the famous Las Vegas Strip. Las Vegas Valley is now home to a plethora of exciting sights, sounds, and people. There's undoubtedly something for everyone in this region.
Whether you enjoy skiing and snowboarding, going to a sold-out concert, spending a sunny day outdoors, or sharing a great meal with a friend, Las Vegas won’t disappoint. The Las Vegas Valley is a part of the beautiful Mojave Desert, which offers stunning landscapes and views. The mountains surrounding the valley provide easy access to a host of outdoor activities, including hiking, snowboarding, and mountain biking. The city is also a cultural icon and a destination for people from around the world. It's home to plenty of fantastic restaurants—some of them Michelin starred, and others delicious holes-in-the-wall.
Las Vegas is more than it seems, and while the world-famous Strip offers plenty of exciting nightlife, you'll also have the opportunity to get to know the tight-knit community here. Living in Las Vegas means having the best of both worlds—all of the amenities of a world-class city, and the comforts of a small town.
