Where Corps Members Teach

Since establishing a Kansas City site in 2008, Teach For America has placed over 335 teachers in nearly every grade and subject area in traditional and charter public schools in the Kansas City, Missouri school district and the Hickman Mills school district.

Kansas City is comprised of different neighborhoods that have their own unique cultures. Corps members live in different parts of town, but regardless of their neighborhood, they can get just about anywhere in 20 minutes by car. The regional office is located in the central Crossroads District, where there are many restaurants, galleries, and coffee shops, and Kansas City corps members have complete access to the office.
