Event Spotlight
Newark mayor Cory Booker visited corps member Cynthia Nave Zavala’s class as part of Teach For America Week. By participating in this annual event, Mayor Booker helped raise awareness about the challenges facing students in low-income communities and demonstrated that when students are given the educational opportunities they deserve, they reach their highest potential.
