Thank You For Your Support

Teach For America Greater New Orleans-Louisiana Delta Region is so grateful for our existing supporters. All gifts help our effort to recruit, select, train and support corps members and alumni.

Partner Spotlight

Since Hurricane Katrina, the Entergy Charitable Foundation has donated nearly $1.7 million to support our teachers in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and other communities of South Louisiana.  “We are happy to help support the good work that Teach For America does in our local communities,” said Charles Rice, president and chief executive officer for utility provider, Entergy New Orleans, Inc. “The corps members from Teach For America have a tremendously positive impact on the lives of students and play an important role in the community at large.”

Event Spotlight

The inaugural “beyond2project” allowed the 2010 corps to engage with each other, alumni, and other community leaders to collectively consider: “What will it take to solve this problem?” and “How will I contribute to solving this problem?” This innovative series of events in May 2012 included 16 workshops on topics like community health and criminal justice.
