Thank You For Your Support

Teach For America Eastern North Carolina Region is so grateful for our existing supporters. All gifts help our effort to recruit, select, train and support corps members and alumni.

Partner Spotlight

We thank the Redwoods Group for their support since 2006.  Beyond their generous gifts, the company contributes to the success of corps members through their employee volunteers and donations of school supplies.

Event Spotlight

Teach For America Week is an annual event when business and community leaders guest teach in corps member classrooms. In 2012, we were thrilled to have 21 guest teachers throughout Eastern North Carolina. Guest teachers included Superintendent June Atkinson, Representative Jim Crawford, and Representative Angela Bryant. Other guest teachers came from supporters in the corporate world, including leaders from Burt’s Bees, Progress Energy, and General Parts.

Event Spotlight

For two consecutive springs, Teach For America champion Fidelity Investments sponsored several field trips as part of the Fidelity Field Trips program.  This program seeks to engage teachers, students, and Fidelity employees in inspirational learning opportunities that illustrate the real life application of classroom education through field trips with a focus on college and career opportunities.
