Teach For America Placement Schools
Where Corps Members Teach
Teach For America corps members in the greater Washington, D.C. area teach over 20,000 students in traditional and charter public schools in the District of Columbia and nearby Prince George’s County in Maryland. In the upcoming year, we will begin strategically placing corps members in clusters of feeder schools in D.C. Wards 7 and 8 to maximize our collective impact on these particular neighborhoods. Last year, 78% of corps members taught secondary education, 16% served in special education placements, and 88% taught at a school with at least one other Teach For America corps member.
