Teach For America corps members are a diverse group of outstanding individuals who share a commitment to educational excellence and equity for all students. The 2010 corps is made up of more than 4,500 recent college graduates, graduate students, and professionals from all 50 states, over 500 colleges and universities, and a variety of career backgrounds. Each corps member brings a unique perspective and set of experiences to his or her work in the classroom.
This school year, more than 8,200 first- and second-year corps members are working to raise the achievement and change the life trajectories of over 500,000 students in low-income communities.
Research has shown that Teach For America corps members’ impact exceeds that of experienced and certified teachers in the same schools. Learn more about our corps members' impact in grades from Pre-K through high school.
