Each day we see the realities of educational inequity juxtaposed against the concrete evidencethat when students in low-income communitiesare given opportunities they deserve, they excel.

Career and Leadership Center benefits

We at the Teach For America Career and Leadership Center offer the proper mix of innovation, practicality and service that can help you with your recruitment efforts. Whether you want to hire a single alumnus, establish a formal internship program, or create a formal pipeline for full-time hires to complement your ongoing sourcing efforts, we can help.

We offer all the services of a traditional university career center or recruitment agency, and more, including:

  • Access to a pool of very strong, diverse qualified applicants who have, in effect, been prescreened by our selection model
  • Greater exposure among our exiting corps members and alumni that enables your organization to distinguish itself from other employers interested in recruiting them
  • Job Posting Service – A free web-based job posting service (for full-time entry level and experienced hires, part-time jobs and internships) that enables you to market your opportunities to 17,000 Teach For America corps members and alumni
  • Special Resume Collections - CLC conducts career specific resume collections throughout the year. Please contact us at clc@teachforamerica.org if you would like more information on receiving access to these resume books. Our job posting service allows registered employers to search alumni resumes that have been uploaded to the site.
  • Career Listserv Access - We can feature your job opportunity or graduate school announcement in our listservs which are specifically targeted to different Teach For America populations based on area of interest (e.g., education, business, policy, law) or corps member profile (e.g., those completing their commitment within the next year).
  • Graduate School Information/Career Fairs - Regionally-based graduate school information and career fairs where you can showcase your organization
  • Support and guidance from our Career and Leadership Center to ensure that your organization markets itself appropriately and targets the best-suited candidates
  • Cost savings – these services are free; your organization would save recruiting dollars and placement service fees
